• DO YOU WANT TO KNOW JESUS?

Maybe someone handed you a tract.

Maybe you already believe in God. Maybe you grew up in church. Maybe you're not sure what you believe.

However you got here, this isn't about joining a church, buying a book, or becoming religious.

    It's about knowing Jesus!

  • WHO IS JESUS?

“I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
    John 14:6 (ESV)

Jesus is the Son of God. He came into this world to show us the Father and to bring us back to God.

He wasn't simply a good man or a great teacher. He came for you and me.

    WHY DID HE COME?

Something is wrong between us and God.

Every one of us has lived our own way. We've done things we knew were wrong, hurt people,

put ourselves first, and ignored God.

    The Bible calls that sin.

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
    Romans 3:23 (ESV)

Sin separates us from God, and we cannot fix that separation ourselves.

    That is why Jesus came.

He came to do for us what we could never do for ourselves.

He took our sin to the cross and gave His life for us.

“But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners,

    Christ died for us.”
    Romans 5:8 (ESV)

    HE ROSE

On the third day, Jesus rose from the dead. He is alive.

“For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures,”
    1 Corinthians 15:3–4 (ESV)

  • YOU CAN KNOW HIM

Jesus has already made the first move.

    He died for you.

    He rose from the dead.

And He is inviting you to follow Him.

The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.”
    Mark 1:15 (ESV)

    To repent means to turn.

Turn from living life your own way and turn toward God.

Believe Jesus is who He says He is.

    Trust Him with your life.

    Follow Him.

You don't need to know everything before you come to Jesus. You just need to come.

WHAT DO I DO RIGHT NOW?

    Talk to Him.

    You don't need special words.

You don't need to sound religious.

Tell Jesus you believe in Him.

    Confess your sin.

    Ask Him to forgive you.

Tell Him you're turning from your old life and want to follow Him.

Because, if you confess with your mouth

that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart

that God raised him from the dead,

    you will be saved.”
    Romans 10:9 (ESV)

    YOU CAN PRAY RIGHT NOW

Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. Amen.

    WHAT HAPPENS NOW?

You have just taken the first step. Now begin following Jesus.

    1. Tell someone. Tell another follower of Jesus what you just did.
    2. Be baptized. Jesus calls those who believe to follow Him in baptism.
    3. Begin reading the Bible. Begin with the Gospel of John.
    4. Pray. Talk to God every day. You don't need special words. Learn to listen as well as speak.
    5. Find other followers of Jesus. Don't try to walk this out alone. Find a Bible-believing church or group where Jesus is followed, Scripture is taught, and you can grow.
    6. Keep following Him. This isn't the end. It's the beginning.
